Operations Manager – Adventure Tours & Glamping

We are seeking a highly reliable, hands-on Operations Manager to help oversee the daily operations of two unique outdoor hospitality and adventure businesses near Nelson, Nevada: Adrenaline Junkies Off-Road Tours and Vegas Glamping.

This is NOT a desk-only management position. We are looking for someone who leads by doing. One day you may be leading an off-road tour, the next checking vehicles, receiving inventory, helping a guest, inspecting accommodations, coordinating staff, or solving an unexpected operational problem.

The right person is dependable, mechanically inclined, organized, comfortable working independently, excellent with guests, and able to take ownership without needing constant supervision.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and assist with guided off-road UTV/ATV tours
• Prepare vehicles before tours and complete post-tour inspections
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and identify mechanical issues before they become larger problems
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, fueling and maintenance schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles, equipment and operational areas
• Conduct daily quality-control inspections throughout both businesses
• Ensure tours, accommodations and guest areas consistently meet company standards
• Assist with guest check-ins, questions, requests and problem resolution
• Provide excellent customer service and create a professional, welcoming guest experience
• Manage and restock retail/store inventory, beverages, firewood, supplies and guest amenities
• Receive deliveries and maintain organized inventory/storage areas
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing needs before items run out
• Help coordinate tour guides, cleaners and other operational staff
• Confirm that scheduled work is completed correctly and on time
• Help train employees and reinforce company procedures and service standards
• Assist with property setup, maintenance and improvement projects
• Help maintain glamping tents, common areas, outdoor spaces and equipment
• Assist with corporate groups, private events and large tour groups
• Drive company vehicles when required, including guest transportation
• Handle unexpected operational issues calmly and find practical solutions
• Communicate clearly with ownership regarding maintenance, staffing, inventory and guest concerns
• Complete opening and closing duties as needed
• Step into different roles when necessary to keep the businesses operating smoothly

What we are looking for:

You should be the type of person who notices what needs to be done and handles it. We value reliability, common sense, initiative and accountability more than a fancy résumé.

Experience with UTVs, ATVs, vehicles, mechanical work, outdoor recreation, hospitality, tourism, property management, maintenance or operations is highly desirable.

Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors in the Nevada desert, interacting with guests, driving off-road vehicles and performing physical work. Weekend and holiday availability is required because these are tourism and hospitality businesses.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. A clean driving record is strongly preferred.
